﷯M.A., has over fifteen years experience in the US and abroad in teaching and educational leadership. He earned an Initial Administrators License from Lewis and Clark College (anticipate 2014), Master’s of Arts in Teaching from Pacific University in 1998, Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Native American Studies from University of Montana in 1996, ESOL Endorsement from Willamette University in 2006, and International Diploma in Language Teaching Management from The School for International Training in 2003. Darryl served two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Kingdom of Tonga, South Pacific, where he trained host country teachers and Peace Corps Volunteer teachers, authored bilingual elementary curriculum and organized community development and cultural preservation projects. Darryl has travelled extensively to 12 countries throughout the Asia-Pacific region and taught English at the high school and university level in Taiwan for four years. Darryl has also served as an International Student Advisor at American University and National Coordinator of Admissions and Visas at AFS Intercultural Programs. Over the past eight years Darryl has taught 3rd and 6th grade in strictly Title I high poverty schools in Oregon. Each year his class consecutively surpasses state and district averages on State Assessments in Reading and Math. Moreover, Darryl is the CEO of his own company, BilingualAcquisition LLC, and recently developed, trademarked and is currently training teachers on his innovative results-based program entitled MathKwonDo: A Student-Driven Common Core Math Learning System.
